OK.. shows over..

We can't easily post photos from here.. just doesn't seem to work, they will come later.

Friday night rolled around and we were ready to get on stage and play so we could get it done and relax, even though I was not nervous... We were back stage and we heard a bit of commotion. Many dignitaries had it on their schedule to be at our event that caused a bit of fervor with reserving seats. The event is a public event and some were unhappy they could not set where they wished. They finally got it all sorted out and we opened to a packed house. They actually puts seats outside the theater with video screens so everyone who wanted to see the show could.

We opened with 2 traditional pieces then went into a more normal mode for us except we did moderate it for a more "mystical" feel. The concert went very well. We had people in tears by the end, one person wrote a poem while we were playing. Overall I have to say I think everyone enjoyed our presentation. I personally had 2 gentlemen come up with tears in their eyes after the performance trying to tell me in halting English how much the performance meant to them. They are very emotional people, and very friendly.

One couple traveled from Holland to come to the festival. She ended up buying a flute from us as she finally felt she had found the instrument that touches her heart.

I wish we could have done the playing in two sets instead of straight through. The people sat there for an hour and a half. That's a long time for the audience to sit for any production.

All in all a fantastic experience with more to come. It seems we will be playing for a short time tomorrow at Rumi's tomb.. quite an honor..
Later....
